Lotus QuickPlace
---------------------------------------------
Congratulations. You have successfully set up your Lotus QuickPlace
Server. Here are a few useful things to know.
1. People can now start creating QuickPlaces. Anyone with a browser
can go to [HostName] and create their own QuickPlace.
2. Sign-In to set server settings. There are a bunch of neat settings that
you can set for your QuickPlace server. Here's how you access these
settings from any browser:
- Go to [HostName] from any browser
- Click the [Sign-in] link at the top of the window
and provide your Administrator name and password.
- Click the "Server Settings" which will appear on your left.
3. How To Start And Stop Your QuickPlace Server.
Your QuickPlace Server is installed as a service that automatically
starts when Windows NT starts up. You can stop or start the QuickPlace
server at any time:
- Choose Settings: Control Panel from the Windows' Start Menu.
- Double click the Services icon. (You will be presented
with the NT Services dialog).
- Select Lotus QuickPlace Server in the list of Services.
- Click either the Stop or Start button.
- Click Close to dismiss the NT Services dialog.
Online Tips and Feedback. You can get the latest information on QuickPlace
by going to http://www.QuickPlace.com/news. There you will find, the
latest release notes, interesting QuickPlace tips, as well as have an
opportunity to provide us feedback that we will incorporate into
QuickPlace in the future.
